CHOPITY CHOP

I got my hair cut today at Freedom in Charlottetown. I was a little nervous at first because she didn't seem to understand what I meant by wanting the back shorter than the front with lots of layers and texture. So with lots of explaining and pointing she started cutting away. She made a face when I told her I used hairspray in my hair to style it. (frig her I love my hair spray). she also never heard of metric before..."ohhh? what kind of music do they play?" get with the program missy!
but in the end I left satisfied with my hair cut. i think it is a lil different from before, but I'm sure I'm the only one that will notice.

To my nursing girls...remember the time we all passed out (or almost passed out) watching a circumcision?
Well, same thing happened to me at the bar last night. except there was no blood or anything, but i was standing in line and all of a sudden i felt woozy and dizzy and kinda blacked out and came to again and could hardly hear what anyone was saying. then i looked around and thought i was hallucinating. i quickly left the bar and felt fine once i was outside. but it really weirded me out.
I feel fine now except for the huge amount of junk food i scarfed down for dinner.
definitely need to go running tomorrow.

Christmas with the Daltons/Paceys/Camerons

I survived Christmas day with my dad and brother and fiance. I insisted on opening presents on the eve b/c Christmas morning seems to always turn out with people working or wanting to sleep in and me being tired and cranky b/c my dad and I went for what was supposed to be a nice slow friendly run to trying to keep up with him and him yelling I WIN I WIN at the end! but alas I was the only one in the Christmas mood on the eve of Christmas so we opened them around lunch time. I got funny gifts. like subway tokens and a portable bike pump. but all things I need. It's going to be interesting opening the gifts from my mom today. she assures me that the huge package that is behind her tree, almost bigger than me will fit in my suitcase...Last night we went to the theater to see Rocky Balboa. I thought it was a good movie, but not exactly christmassy. I'm surprised my dad didn't force us all to go to the gym on the way home from the movie, he easily gets pumped up.
so boxing day today is Christmas day round 2. I'm still in my PJ's and I'm debating braving the cold to head out for a lil run before the festivities begin again.
I may need a drink tonight. anybody else??

-really it's not soo bad. i tend to only come home to pei for more than a weekend once a year, so it's good for me.
