This is what I sent to my coachs yesterday. Still no reply...

I would like to say that I have not stepped down from the X – Country team. During our X-Country season which began Sept 5th with an easy 5K run, I have done everything you’ve asked of me. I missed a total of 5 practices during our season:
Thursday Sept 8th because of work (which I need to do otherwise I couldn’t afford to come to University)
Friday Sept 30th (I ran the hills on my own in the morning)
October 10th & 12th because I was sick (I did however ‘attempt’ the 5 Orchard Hills on the Tuesday with the team)
Monday Oct 24th because I was studying

I know this because I have continued filling out my training log since they were given to us January 17th 2005.
It was not until the season was over that I signed up for and started training for the Myrtle Beach Marathon. At this time I wasn’t even aware of the fact that we were having a track team. How would I know, since we hadn’t run track since my first year here. Rene, you’ve told me more than once to wait until after the season to train for a Marathon or any distance races, and I did.
I know I am not competing in Track and you want to make an example of some students to show that attendance is very important and there will be no exceptions made, but I don’t think it is fair to say that I am no longer considered part of the XC team when I have put so much into in the past 4 years. I respect that you are trying to build a strong x-country team and if you don’t want me to come out to practice anymore that’s fine. I made a personal decision to not compete in Acadia’s Track Club and I don’t think this decision should reflect my commitment to the Varsity X-Country team.
I just wanted to clarify that I still consider myself to be an Acadia X-Country runner and it would take a lot to make me “step down” from this team.
