Ohhh 2nd Year...

The return to Cutten House to a ridiculously small res room. A few changes...Boys now live in my section and I'm allowed to consume alcohol. This is where I met little Thomas Lundy. In this same year, I Ashley Buote introduced me to Douglas from PEI on one our PEI Road Trips.

Thomas, Doug and I went Parachuting together in Waterville in September and it was Fantastic!!!

On November 16th 2003, worst news ever. Corey Buchanan was killed in a car accident. I met Corey picking blueberries in grade 9, dated him in grade 12 and enjoyed his friendship after this. I miss him very much.

Come February...Katie's sem girls and me packed our bags and hit up the Sunny South in Veradero Cuba for Spring break.

When we arrived back in NS all suntanned and relaxed, Acadia Profs were on Strike...So we enjoyed another month off from school. Definitely well needed and enjoyed!...Overall I would say my 2nd year at Acadia was mediocre...I was pretty stressed out most of the year, but i did meet some pretty fantastic people and did some pretty fantastic things with them! I tried out the long distance relationshiop with Jamie. Developed a crush on Cragi Mercer. I also got to compete at X-Country National Championships, while i did not finish in 'last' place, i sure did cross the finish line with tears in my eyes.

The summer I moved back to the old Water/Prince Apt...this time with Douglas! I accomplished a lot this summer...Finished my Physics course at UPEI (with the help of Robbie), Worked at the Nursing Home across the road & Samuel & Co., Attended Toga Party...

I also went skinny dipping, lit off some fireworks, had some picnics, competed in the red cross relay, spent some time with Cat before she left for Korea, and Trained for my very first marathon. Although, it was the Marathon by the Sea that I ran in August with my Dad, I just wanted to include this picture :) which was taken in October.

Stay tuned for my 3rd year review...

I was inspired/motivated by Doug's year in review blogs to briefly review my last 4 years at Acadia since Graduation is quickly approaching...

STARTING WITH FIRST YEAR:

My dad helped me move all my belongings into a very large double room in Cutten House. All Girls at the time, 24 hour quite and alcohol free! I wasn't coming to university to party, i was here to study...and run!
It was on the first day of cross country practice where I met my very best friend Katie. I've spent a LOT of time with my xc team over the past couple of years and they are fantastic!

Also in Frosh week, I met Keith Budgell, who became my very best friend. If i wasn't running with the XC team I was definately hanging out in Chipman house with Keith and the rest of the boys.

There were the frosh formals, cutten/chipman formal, drunken nights in residence, xc rookie initiation where I drank cheap beer out of an old running sneaker, all the xc road trips, the visits home to visit Cat at UPEI, my 19th birthday which I don't remember too well, Easter at Katie's Cottage, many many runs with katie, my hair was long, post-xc meal all, drinking with rene & the team in the Kine Lougne before the athletics banquet...it was a fantastic year and i was so sad to leave. Katie, Barteau and Erin helped my dad and me empty out my res room at the end of the year. That summer I lived with Cat for awhile and then with Ryan at the old Water/Prince Apt in Ch'town. There were many Thursday night stumbles to Peaks that summer. I worked a the nursing across the road from out apt and at Cora's Breakfast.
If i left out any important memories from first year at acadia, let me know!!!
