Vacation.

I just had 2 days off work, so i randomly hoped on the bus and went to halifax. i finally got to play tennis with Neil. it was super fun! Neil seems to think he's a tough guy, but i dunno....

After tennis Carrie and me bought out the whole grocery store and picked up a 3L bottle of wine...Chelsea and 2 of her friends came over and Liz joined in as well...we spent the night chugging back wine and eating chips, yogurt things, veggie-dawgs (with mouldy buns), KD and bagels. It was a splendid night :) Not sure what i'm doing in this picture...practising my yoga/kung fu moves maybe...

Today we were all a little hungover...after breakfast i took the bus back to wolfville, so i could go to my trail run...at first i thought i might die on the run, but i am ohh soo glad i went!!! (as is usually the case with running...) but today was even more fantastic...we have a few rivers we had to swim across and we did some rock climbing down by Three Pools and it was beautiful and extremely fun!! And of course we finished the run with some bridge jumping in Gaspereau.

Bryan to me and Lauren at the end: "Girls! You're ROCKSTARS!!!"

I feel like crap now though...curling up in bed sooon!

From the Lance Show to the Landis Show...

Floyd Landis riding for the Phonak team, who used to ride with the Discovery Team (Team Armstrong), has won the 93rd Tour de France! I've been hearing a lot of comments about how the tour is much better this year without my hero riding in it, but really, they've done nothing more than switch the spotlight from one American to another....Even when Landis lost the jersey (back in Stage 16 was it??) all the headlines read "Landis Cracks" "Landis looses Yellow Jersey" "Landis is getting bullied on the course"....but he came back, i'm assuming with fresh new oxygenated blood to help him along and took the yellow jersey back, and kept it this time!

Also worthy of mention, McEwen for green (fastest sprint), Rasmussen for Polka-dot (King of the Mountains), Cunego for White (Best Young Rider), possibly my new crush??

Overall, pretty excitting Tour! Lance is still the best though :)
