IT'S REALLY HARD TO WALK IN A SINGLE WOMAN'S SHOES -- THAT'S WHY YOU SOMETIMES NEED REALLY SPECIAL SHOES!

Special shoes like the Time RXL Women's Road Shoe. True Love.
Things are starting to get serious with me and Dino. 8am rides on the lakeshore never felt so good :)

LOVE FOOLOSOPHY

Today I finished my second degree. 6 years of university, just call me pdiggity BSc., BSc.N. Has a nice ring to it I suppose. Although my actual cap & gown festivities don't kick off until November 11th, this week is all about graduating. Relief of being done, discussion on who's working where, drinking wine with the girls, meeting each other's families and significant others, receptions with the faculty, grad formal...

IT'S NOT MINE BUT I DON'T CARE. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF PLAYING FAIR

So the other day while leaving the police department getting my criminal record check I noticed a card on the steps outside. So I picked up and noticed it was a June Metro pass. I went inside to check to see if it belonged to anyone - no takers, so I kept it. The entire walk home I held it in my hand in case the owner would spot and claim it. I even walked home rather than taking the subway. For some reason I felt extremely guilty for keeping it...but really...no one claimed it right? It might be bad karma, you know, keeping a lost metro pass from the police station right after getting a criminal record check?? Maybe...
Oh well, a girl needs to get around!

NINTH STREET CHRONICLES

This little pdawg has been a busy bee scurrying around town, working two jobs, training for the ironman and getting ready to transition into my big person job. In the midst of all this there has been some mild adventures, trials and tribulations...

Last Thursday I treated myself to a Paulette Day. It was lovely. Short bike ride in the am along the lakeshore with Dino. Then went to my appointment at Aveda. Aveda is my happy place. So relaxing and makes me feel so pampered. So from 12:30-4:30 I felt like a princess. Until I seen the finished product. I'm not feeling the love for my new do. I decided to go with highlights instead of full color for a change...So they decided 'banding' would look good, but to me it just looks like a light straw coloring over my already self-messed up dye job. and then there is the cut...which took approx and hour and a half because she didn't know how to cut a 'fringe'...in the end she cut my bangs pretty much straight across and the back part has like zero layers, so the short layered texturized swoopy bang look is now a straw colored sleek/flat 12 year old girl looking cut. :(
Hair Stylist # 1: "Oh well you must be the hottest nurse on the unit because this hair is so funky and trendy!"
Me: It's not really what I was looking for..."
Hair Stylist # 2: "Well your hair is so light that it kinda blends in with your pale skin, so you'll hardly notice"

ahhh

In other news I start work as a real nurse July 7th. Yay! Before then I will present on the "gift of life?", get my boogie on at the prom and chill out at a pool party, and try out my pretty new shoes with dino :)
