Everyone that knows me knows that I dislike chinese food (remember the days of blossoms anybody?). It's not that i'm not open to new things, i just don't like the taste and i can never really tell if it is actually vegetarian.
Today for our last clinical day on the postpartum rotation (which i had to call in sick for which was terrible!! but i can get into that another time...) we decided all go out for lunch with our instructor...to CHINATOWN...
We ordered something called jimsun (?) where you just pick these random stuff off the menu and it all comes on a spinning table...anyways..they ordered shrimp rolls, ckicken soup, scary looking slimey things, tofu bean curd with shrimb, sponge rolls, and a variety of other things that i wouldn't even poke with my chop stick. i stuck with the chinese tea and steamed rice i asked for. i did try a sponge roll that tasted like warm greesy cake, so that was ok. Ohhh, and i took a bite of a "spring roll" that they insisted was vegetarian, only to find out that it was filled with shrimp! In the end our bill came to 110$ and we split it all evenly.
Billie-dawg and I weren't impressed by any of it. BLEAHHHHH

U of T Nursing @ the Run For The Cure!

Besides the run on the weekend, Dugger and me had a wonderful jam packed weekend. Dinner at the Madison pub friday, Ikea Saturday morning, Bloor St shopping in the afternoon (I got grawled for going behind the counter accidently at Louis Vitton, oops), bought stuff from Gap & Lululemon...Dinner & drinks @ C'est What? downtown with Liz & Nick & Doug then off to visit Lilly's beautiful condo way up on the 30-something'th floor. Up early again for the run for the cure, which was a ton of fun, then Grocery shopping then off to Liz & Nick's to visit and get my bike. (Never attempt to bring a bike on the subway again!) Then dinner downtown again with Lilly & Dave this time. Joel Plaskett & Emily Haynes Free Concert was sadly missed b/c we were too tired by this time :(
Weekends go by way too quickly.
