Let's go back in time...To say, Wednesday...

As usual I went to the running room to run some hills with the PB group. Tons of fun and I'm starting to make new running friends. The hills were fine until the end when I started feeling pretty rotten and had to stop at a bathroom on the way home. I was sick for the rest of the night. It sucked a lot. And that's all I'll say about that.

Thursday & Friday were super early mornings (Alarm sounding at 5:12am) to work at Toronto Rehab Hospital. Thursday dragged on and was pretty boring, and when I asked if there was anything else I could do I was told that I shouldn't be asking, that I should find stuff to do...So on Friday I went off on my own to get busy. I noticed a dressing needed changing, (technically I'm not supposed to be doing dressing changes til my Adult Med Surge clinical rotation, but I was bored so I did it anyway)...It was really cool. 3 necrotic gangrene toes!
I missed grey's anatomy Thursday night and am desperately trying to download it, unsuccessfully. People should be shot for labeling it Season 3 Episode 7 when in fact it is actually Episode 6! Soo disappointing when you wait and wait for it to download and open it to find you've already seen it!

Friday, Billie-Dawn hosted an Acadia reunion par-tay at her new apt. I drank lots of wine and ate lots of yummy snacks. Terry was there and we reminisced about the good times when we used to run together...That's until he became so drunk he couldn't talk properly and kept spilling chips all over the floor and Billie was frantically sweeping them up around his feet...So we called a cab and sent him home :( Then we all piled onto the subway and hit up the Maddy for a bit. I woke up this morning naked ontop of the sheets with the worst hangover ever. It was about 10am, I got a glass of water, 2 Ibuprofen, washed my face, then went back to bed for a couple more hours. I'm feeling much better now.

Tomorrow, hopefully going running with the running room in the morning. I keep attempting to go, but I get up in the morning and decide I'm too tired :P

Since when is One Tree Hill Scary??

I don't know if you watch OTH, but it's your typical high school teeny bopper show about kids pretending to be older than they really are yaddayaddayadda...Soo I download it on occasion (along with House and Grey's Anatomy), just to watch when i'm bored or before going to bed. Tonight I watched OTH season 4 episode 5 and it was really really scary. Like full out, run up the stairs horror movie scream, dude attacking pretty girl with a faser scary. However I do tend to get scared watching movies like "Club Dread" ...Anyways, the point of this is that I watch these silly TV shows before I go to bed to unwind from studying and checking PBs, tympanic temps, pulse-ox and so on at the hospital all day, because usually they have little story plot and are quite entertaining when i'm half asleep. this episode was very disappointing b/c now i'm scared to sleep by myself in case a strange long lost brother I never knew I had decides to come find me and go psycho on my ass and try to kill me.

SCHMOOZE!

On Friday, the nursing girls and i went out for some well needed/deserved martinis at a place downtown called schmooze. "Shmoozers are mostly 20 to 30-somethings trendies in lip-smacking labels and designer gear, posey and pretentious but beautiful all the same." - from the webpage...yet i fit in wearing a shirt from frenchies....I'm classy like that.
Many martinis later, we still were not feeling the 'i just drank 4 martinis and 2 vodka drinks', drunk and realized the drinks, while cheap, are highly water down...some of the girls decided it was then time to head over to the Maddy, but I wanted to stay, sooo we hit up the bar for some bar shots...I wasn't expecting the bartender to stack all our shot glasses up and stand on the bar and light the whole thing on fire and then proceed to light our money on fire, but it was preetty coool....After countless lemondrops, jager, vodka and mistery shots later we were ready to hit up the dance floor. Seeing as how the drinking began around 5:30pm we were all ready to leave around 12ish. It was great to relax and get drunkity durnk with the girls after working so hard on our midterms last week! I'll post all the pictures (and there are a lot!) on facebook later :)
