OVERHEARD AT AROMA

"The relationship derailed but at least I got a cool plant out of it"
"He hasn't called in over a week; I just don't understand...I thought things were good"
"He's 3 years older than me, I thought he'd be more mature about theses things"
"He just doesn't know how to break up with someone"
"Have you called him?" "Well..he doesn't get reception at work, or at home, and I don't want to call him while he's driving..."
"He said he wanted to end things before I got too attached...obviously he means himself, but I haven't known him long enough call him that!"

As I sat there smugly sippin my soy cappuccino thinking, silly girls and their silly love lives, I stopped to think for a minute...Would my conversation be any different if I was sitting across from Liz instead of my computer reading Canadian Medical Journals? Probably not...I resisted the urge to lean over and ask who they were talking about because it sounded all too familiar...
