As for the gentleman issue, I think that the modern version is somewhat different from his classic counterpart. Any thoughts on what these differences might be from your perspective?

people don't go to formals and operas...well maybe they do in the royal family...who knows!?
i'm thinking a gentleman is someone who holds the door for you, offers up his seat on the subway when you have big suitcases, calls when he says he'll call (or even just because), takes you out on nice dates (but not dinner and movie - that's boring)...that sorts of stuff...i need to avoid these cheating-flaky-no call-boy. who really cares if they walk on the inside of the curb, just follow sidewalk etiquette and everyone happy! hah
